The Force Is With Us

It's good to learn that there will be more episodes in the Star Wars franchise.

With Disney at the helm, maybe there will be better writing than George Lucas offered. Hopefully the folks at Disney will return some humor back into the franchise, minimize the fluff toy characters, and avoid overt political correctness.

The original trilogy was a futuristic western; the last trilogy was not nearly as fun. Assuming the franchise picks up from Return of the Jedi, it would be really cool to bring Mark Hamill and Harrison Ford back as elder versions of their characters to pass the torch. I wouldn't mind Carrie Fisher either, but you never know with her. Also, Billy Dee Williams would be nice addition.

George Lucas sold his stake for $4.3 billion. That would be unfair except that he's from Hollywood, and Hollywood rich is never complained about.

The Game Stays The Same

What did you expect from HBO's "Game Change" ?  Some high level McCain staffers dispute the narrative:

Other loyal McCain staffers I've spoken to have had the same reaction. While a few senior aides from the McCain campaign collaborated with the authors of Game Change and painted a picture of John McCain and Sarah Palin as so craven or ill-informed or incompetent that no handler could have gotten them elected, the reality is that John McCain was the better man and would have made a better president.

 

Political Science vs. Climate Science

Majoring in fraud:

The sensible way to do so is to prove Mr. McIntyre wrong using facts and evidence and improved data. Instead the email reveals Mr. Mann casting about for a way to smear him. If the case for man-made global warming is really as strong as the so-called consensus claims it is, why do the climategate emails show scientists attempting to stamp out dissenting points of view? Why must they manipulate data, such as Mr. Jones's infamous effort (revealed in the first batch of climategate emails) to "hide the decline," deliberately concealing an inconvenient divergence, post-1960, between real-world, observed temperature data and scientists' preferred proxies derived from analyzing tree rings?

This is the real significance of the climategate emails. They show that major scientists who inform the IPCC can't be trusted to stick to the science and avoid political activism.

Oh No, You Can't Say That !

Producer Brett Ratner got rooked by Hollywood because he created the terrible sin of saying "rehearsals are for fags". Nevermind that the term "fag" does not refer exclusively to homosexual men and never mind that Ratner never meant in that way in the first place. Political correctness dictated his departure.

Eddie Murphy should have told the truth instead of going along with the "oh so sorry" narrative that must be followed to continue working in far Left Hollywood, and that is that the whole thing is ridiculous.
