I've noted that progressives always use Barack Obama's race as the reason why Americans resist and reject his policies. It is easier to shut-down a conversation by playing the race card than to actually defend the policies. And, they are playing the race card more quickly than ever now. I mentioned to a progressive recently how problematic the proposed changes in teaching of American history before 1877 in North Carolina was, and the progressive said "Look at the controversy over having a "black "president when he is as white as he is black". What does that have to do with teaching of American history?

If one criticized the present governments of Zimbabwe or of Senegal, would it be racist? Or would it be based on the dishonest incompetence involved?
